Tibetan Thangka Painting Samantabhadra

Tibetan Thangka Painting Samantabhadra (Unicersally Auspicious) became popular rather late. He is not mentioned at the beginning of the Lotus Sutra, he comes to the world with a fabulous retinue to ask Sakyamuni to expound the Lotus Sutra. He promises to protect the monks who keep this Sutra, and to avert the enemies and demons. Mounted on white elephant with six tusks, he will accompany the preacher, appearing and reminding him when he forgets any part of the text. If devotees circumambulate for 21 days, Thangka Samantabhadra will show his body on the 21 st, inspiring the devotees and giving them talismanic spells.

In Buddhist symbolism, Samantabhadra Thangka represents daily practice and application, which must proceed by gradual but firm steps, similar to the elephant on which he sits. Samantabhadra Thangka is often paired with Manjusri Thangka the personification of wisdom, whose lion leaps and roars with the confidence that comes from experiential understanding. Together the two bodhisattvas thus symbolize twin requisites of spiritual growth: application and wisdom.

Tibetan Thangka Painting Samantabhadra also appears in the Avatamsaka sutra, as does Manjusri, Thangka particularly in its later section called the Gandavyuha sutra, where he appears as the greatest of all the bodhisattvas. This textual tradition become very popular in China and Japan, and was particularly worshiped by women there. It was also portrayed in the top level of bas-reliefs on the great Javanese stupa Borobudur. In Tibet, Samantabhadra Thangka came to be regarded as the great Cosmic Buddha who founded the tradition of Dzogchen meditation.

We have learned how some bodhisattvas, such as Maitreya Thangka and Avalokitesvara Thangka were important throughout the Buddhist world. Others became more important beyond greater India. Tara became very important in Tibet as the feminine aspect of compassion closely associated with Avalokitesvara Thangka. According to the Tibetan Thangka historian Taranatha, she vowed to work for the salvation of all not as man, as most do, but as a woman. She first appears in sixth-century of all the Buddhas; unlike Prajnaparamita, however, she became a deity who actively saves her devotees from worldly distress.

To get emptiness first we must to know what is the practice. and when we know the practice the we need Wisdom. Samantabhadra thangka just showing for us how we can combine of this two wisdom and practice the can get Niravana. Samantabhadra Thangka showing to us if we have only wisdom without practice no useful. and without practice wisdom also not perfect. So practice time we need these two. Samantabhadra Thangka using as like YIN and Yang also. as creator of the sentient being.

Tibetan Thangka Painting Samantabhadra Thangka is using as Adi Buddha or as First Buddha also. Samantabhadra Thangka is know as creator of sentient being so he was the first Buddha as creator. Normally when people see Samantabhadra and Samantabhadri site on sexual poster. but when we see through spiritual way it is represent of combine of Wisdom and Practice. because there in our life if we have only Wisdom this is not fulfil and if we try practice without wisdom not working.

so in our practice time there should be both of them like wisdom and practice. When we have these two in our practice time then we can do meditation very easily. And when we see the thangka mostly of the thangka in top can see this Samantabhadra and Samandri as a creator or symbol of emptiness.
